In Mediterranean kitchen pasta turns into various shapes and each recipe requires a specific pasta. Greek grain pasta is a familiar delicacy for many Finns as well. In Greece, grain pasta is used in oven dishes, but it can be served cooked and flavoured with olive oil as side dish or in the salads.

Bulgur has become part of the new Finnish trend food. Cooked bulgur can be combined with vegetables for a salad or eaten like rice as a side dish.
